Mees Borgman
LANDMARKS
Landmarks is the name of the collaboration between theatre artists Espen Hjort en Mees Borgman. Together they make performances about ecological issues and questions, creating a personal centred around movement, music and imagination. With their work, they want to invite their audiences to enter into new and unexpected relationships with the world.
Their latest work STONEWORK had it's premiere the 9th of September 2022 and has been touring since in The Netherlands, Norway and Belgium. Stonework is a quest for radical equality between human and stone beings. Gravity, touch and vibration are the starting points for this playful, poetic duet between a stone from the Hallingskarvet mountain plateau and human performer Mees Borgman.
Now we are researching and creating our next work: TREEWORK. An experimental opera in collaboration with trees from the forest Østmarka in Norway.
