After a tour of performances in theaters, we are now creating a site-specific version for Ekebergparken in Oslo, Norway. In June 2023, we will perform Stonework, outside, more close to its natural habitat.
More information about Landmarks: www.landmarkscollective.com
Stonework is a playful and primitive physical duet between a human performer and a stone from the Hallingskarvet mountain range in Norway. The starting point for the work is the wish to collaborate as equals with the stone and to create a work that is just as engaging for a stone as for a human. This forced us to rethink our approach to theatre and our means of communication. Stonework is about vibration, temperature, force and gravity, and about two bodies trying to become one another. But how do you entertain a stone?
Even if the work is stone-centred, we would like to invite a human audience to witness this duet, in the hope that we can all be infected with a bit of stone-ness. Perhaps the stone can teach us about softness? Eventually, our aim is to learn how to coexist with nonhumans in a more empathic way.
The work is gentle and playful, part physical performance, part theatrical installation and part composition. Composer Seán ó Dálaigh creates a sound work based on the unique frequencies of the stone performer.
Stonework marks the beginning of a series of works created together with Mees under the name Landmarks. This work for stones will be followed by Treework, Mountainwork and several other works. Site-specific editions of Stonework will happen in 2023.

Upcoming
Writing new music: ROND
December/February 2023 I will be working on new music based on the months of a year.
Research new work: å Være.
For this research I will work with the weather.
It is a fascinating ecological phenomenal. It can be magical, tempting, dangerous and exiting. The weather influences landscapes, moods and also itself is influenced by climate change. It is musical and full of movement.
I am looking for a artistic relationship with weather. Kan it influence me as an artist in making performances and how is the audiences influenced by it?
March/April 2023 I will have different periods of research, in 2024 the production will take place.
New work by Landmarks: Treework.
In 2023 Landmarks will have different research periods for the new performance Treework: an opera created from radical equality with the tree.
Spring 2024 the piece will have its premier.
First research period: november 2022 at Grenland Friteater (Norway).
Ghosts by Ibsen
In August 2023 the rehearsals of Hendrik Ibsens 'Ghosts' will start at Teater Ibsen in Norway. In this production I will perform the role of Oswald. The production will have it's premiere the 15th of October 2023.
